Nebraska softball has brought back one of its most accomplished players, Jordy Frahm, as an assistant coach. Frahm, a two-time Big Ten Player of the Year and four-time All-American, officially joined the staff following the retirement of longtime pitching coach Lori Sippel. Head coach Rhonda Revelle announced the hire, highlighting Frahm’s competitive drive and deep connection to the program.

Frahm played for Nebraska from 2024 to 2026 after transferring from Oklahoma, where she won two national championships. During her tenure with the Huskers, she captained the team to the 2026 NCAA Women's College World Series—their first appearance since 2013—and helped secure their first win at the WCWS since 2002. The Papillion native also led Nebraska to both the Big Ten regular-season and tournament titles in 2026.

As a two-way player, Frahm excelled both as a pitcher and hitter, earning accolades including two Big Ten Pitcher of the Year awards and a Gold Glove. Her return to the coaching staff signals a strong emphasis on continuity and mentorship. Revelle praised Frahm’s softball IQ and leadership, noting she will play a key role in developing future student-athletes.
