Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander is facing a challenging 2026 season marked by repeated injuries and growing uncertainty about his future. After signing a one-year, $13 million contract in February, Verlander has made just one regular-season appearance, a March 30 start against the Arizona Diamondbacks where he allowed five runs in 3⅔ innings.
