Target has issued a nationwide recall of multiple lots of Up & Up baby wipes due to contamination with potentially harmful bacteria. The recall includes both fragrance-free and fresh cucumber-scented wipes sold in various pack sizes. Testing by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration identified Burkholderia cepacia complex and Burkholderia gladioli in product samples, which can cause serious infections, especially in infants and immunocompromised individuals. The affected wipes were manufactured between late 2025 and May 2026 and have expiration dates into 2028. Consumers are advised to stop using the products and return them to any Target store for a full refund. The recall follows customer complaints about discoloration and adverse events such as skin and eye irritation. Target is working with the manufacturer, Sapro Temizlik Urunleri, and the FDA to investigate further.
