Under the curation of music head Vincent Cassous, the festival features premieres from icons like Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, Peter Frampton, and Katy Perry, drawing both legacy audiences and younger attendees energized by social media buzz. Events include post-screening talks, live concerts, and special honors, such as Springsteen receiving the Harry Belafonte Voices for Social Justice Award in a conversation with Bono, followed by a performance from Patti Smith.

Among the standout premieres is Questlove’s documentary on Earth, Wind & Fire, which explores the band’s cultural impact and features tributes from Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, and former President Barack Obama. Peter Frampton’s self-titled film marks the 50th anniversary of his landmark album 'Frampton Comes Alive' and includes candid reflections on his career and health struggles. Travis Barker’s 'Louder Than Fear' traces his journey from a plane crash survivor to a respected rock drummer, set to stream on Hulu and Disney+.

The festival also highlights emerging formats, such as Magdalena Bay’s cinematic companion to their album 'Imaginal Disk,' described as a sci-fi-inspired visual experience. Other notable entries include documentaries on Sara Bareilles, Mumford & Sons, Alejandro Sanz, and a 4K remaster of Daft Punk’s 'Electroma.' With HBO, Hulu, and Disney+ set to distribute select films, Tribeca is becoming a launchpad for music storytelling across platforms.
