Vampire Survivors, the breakout indie hit, is expanding significantly with the announcement of a Switch 2 version offering improved performance and mouse support. The update arrives alongside new content and structural changes from developer Poncle. The studio unveiled Legacy of the Bloodmoon, a substantial DLC releasing summer 2026 across PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and mobile. It adds 10 new characters, over 16 weapons and evolutions, a new XL stage, and eight music tracks, positioned as the 'evil twin' to the original Legacy of the Moonspell expansion.

As part of this launch, Poncle is rebranding its flagship title to Vampire Survivors - First Survivaton, anchoring a new umbrella initiative called Survivaton. This label will cover future projects that expand on the core 'survive a ton' gameplay with major twists, expansions, or genre shifts. The original DLC, Legacy of the Moonspell, will also receive additional content and a permanent price reduction to match the scale of the new release.

Poncle is also establishing Poncle Japan, a dedicated subsidiary led by Sawaki Takeyasu, to strengthen connections with Japanese players, creators, and industry partners. The move aims to ensure cultural resonance and uncover new collaboration opportunities. The rebrand coincides with the free 1.15 update, which adds a new stage, characters, weapons, and Darkanas.
