The Laramie County Sheriff’s Office in Wyoming has unveiled a uniquely designed patrol cruiser that doubles as a mobile recruitment platform. Instead of a standard fleet look, the 2025 Dodge Durango features a custom Western mural painted by Cheyenne artist Jordan Dean, depicting a cowboy on horseback in a style reminiscent of Clint Eastwood’s 'High Plains Drifter.' The bold design was commissioned by Sheriff Brian Kozak to draw attention and spark curiosity.

The vehicle is assigned to Cpl. Heather Wilson in the hiring unit and is equipped with interactive features like a pull-out TV screen for recruitment videos and a PlayStation with a pursuit-driving game for kids. It made its public debut at a downtown Cheyenne summer event and has already drawn praise from law enforcement in Colorado during a leadership training visit.

Beyond its visual impact, the cruiser addresses a persistent challenge: recruitment. With about 10–15 positions typically open, the department hopes the eye-catching SUV will prompt conversations about law enforcement careers. The design reflects a creative approach to public engagement, blending local Western identity with modern outreach tools.
